Curtis K. Roebken,
MD
Dr.
Roebken graduated from the UCLA School of Medicine in 1971,
and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine with extensive
experience in Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine.
Dr. Roebken's combined experience includes over 30 years in
private practice as well as inpatient ICU
and critical care hospital settings. Dr. Roebken
serves as Chief of Staff of Kentfield Hospital.
Deborah Doherty, MD
Deborah
Doherty, M.D., graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in
Biochemistry from the Pennsylvania State University. After finishing medical
school in Philadelphia, she completed a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Residency at Stanford University Medical Center. Shortly thereafter, she
became Board Certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
Dr. Doherty has served as the Medical Director of the Brain Injury Rehabilitation
Program at Kentfield Hospital since 1985, and she is currently the Executive
Medical Director of Kentfield Hospital. Dr. Doherty’s Brain Injury
Program at Kentfield is widely known throughout the West. Dr. Doherty
has over 20 years of experience treating patients with traumatic and anoxic
brain injuries.
Alex Barchuk, MD
Dr.
Barchuk is a Board Certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
physician since 1990. He specializes in traumatic and non-traumatic
spinal cord injuries and has directed this program at Kentfield
for the past 18 years. Dr. Barchuk received his medical degree
from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1985.
He completed his internship at St. Mary’s Hospital
and Medical Center in San Francisco in 1986. Between 1986
and 1989 Dr. Barchuk completed his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Residency at Stanford Medical Center in Palo Alto, California.
Herminigildo V. Valle, MD
Dr.
Valle directs the Hospital's inpatient and outpatient advance
wound programs and has over 23 years of hospital experience. Before
coming to Kentfield, Dr. Valle specialized in internal medicine
and vascular medicine at Seton Medical Center. Dr. Valle has
been recognized for his long-standing dedication to serving the
sick and the underserved in our community.
Dr. Valle holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration
and Health Services from the University of San Francisco,
and is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of
California, San Francisco.
Lael C. Duncan, MD
Dr.
Lael Conway Duncan graduated from University of Washington
in 1986, Magna Cum Laude. She went on to Medical School at
UW and graduated with Honors in 1991. Her residency
in Internal Medicine was at Dartmouth Hitchcock Memorial
Hospital in New Hampshire from 1991-1994. Following that,
Dr. Duncan moved with her husband to Albany, NY, where
she pursued an Infectious Diseases fellowship and completed
specialty training in 1998.
Dr. Duncan began to work for Kentfield Rehabilitation and
Specialty Hospital in 2005. She directs the Infection Control
Program at Kentfield and provides Infectious Diseases Consultation
services.
