Respiratory Therapy
Kentfield provides respiratory therapy on an outpatient basis to help individuals with pulmonary problems improve their functional abilities in the presence of chronic disease.

Approach to Care
Respiratory therapy teaches patients about their disease process, improves their quality of life and reduces repeated hospitalizations through:

• education about chronic pulmonary disease
• instruction in correct breathing techniques
• therapy for complications of chronic pulmonary conditions
• increased physical endurance
• coping strategies for managing activities of daily living
• individualized home exercise programs
• equipment needs assessment
