Occupational Therapy
Kentfield provides occupational therapy on an outpatient basis
to help individuals improve functional independence in personal
self-care and activities of daily living. Patients learn adaptive
techniques to overcome physical, cognitive and perceptual
disabilities.
Approach to Care
Occupational therapists teach patients adaptive techniques
to help them with daily activities such as eating, dressing,
bathing, preparing meals and managing in the home. Care includes:
- treatment of upper extremity diagnoses
- hand therapy, custom splinting and wound management
- pain management
- functional body mechanics
- homemaking and community reintegration
- ergonomic modifications
