Hand Therapy Program
Kentfield's hand therapy program provides specialized outpatient services for patients with hand problems. Early intervention is important for a more rapid recovery and faster return to functional activities.

Hand and Upper Extremity Disorders
Certified hand therapists provide comprehensive therapy services to those with:

  • repetitive strain injury
  • arthritis (including joint replacement)
  • hand and wrist fracture
  • traumatic and peripheral nerve injury
  • neurological dysfunction due to stroke or head injury
  • complex regional pain syndrome
  • thoracic outlet syndrome

Treatment
Our multifaceted approach includes

  • custom splinting
  • muscle reeducation
  • functional retraining
  • flexibility and strength training
  • myofascial and soft tissue release and self-release
  • modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, iontophoresis and TENS)
  • body mechanics and postural training
