A frightening car accident on January 1 landed 16 year old Olivia in the ER at Enloe Medical Center in Chico. Following a month of intense medical treatment, she was transferred to Kentfield Rehabilitation Hospital’s Brain Injury Program. Under the care of Dr. Deborah Doherty and the team of rehabilitation nurses, therapists, and psychologists, Olivia traveled the road to recovery. Her picture tells the story of her progress. After discharge Olivia will continue therapy with the outpatient department at Enloe Medical Center. She will receive tutoring over the summer to enable her to return next fall to her senior year at Mercy High School where she has been a very popular cheerleader.
